Senate Republican Leader Rob Ortt, along with members of the Western New York legislative delegation, sent a letter to Governor Kathy Hochul outlining concerns with the illegal migrants entering Western New York.  

In the letter, lawmakers highlight concerns of illegal immigrants being given housing throughout Western New York communities in the wake of a contract termination with DocGo NYC. How much the new housing situation is going to cost local taxpayers, if residents in existing facilities will be notified that migrants are moving in, and who will be responsible for keeping track of individuals due for asylum hearings are just some of the concerns being voiced by the lawmakers.
