O’Mara, colleagues call on Governor to scrap executive order against corrections officers

"We're doing nothing in this budget to fix the dangerous conditions in state prisons," Senator O'Mara said at a public budget subcommittee hearing in Albany on Monday.
We believe this Executive Order is punitive and will only have a ripple effect, impacting not only the 2,000 correction officers but also the members of the National Guard that must continue to serve in our prisons.
