Senator Christopher J. Ryan (SD-50) today awarded $250,000 to the Town of Camillus which will be used to renovate the bathrooms at Camillus Park. These renovations will upgrade the facilities and ensure they are fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), improving accessibility for residents and visitors.
“Our parks should be able to be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities,” said Senator Ryan. “These renovations will modernize the park’s facilities and ensure they are accessible to everyone in our community. I’m proud to deliver this funding for the Town of Camillus so that residents and visitors alike can enjoy a park that is welcoming, safe, and inclusive for all.”
During his announcement, Senator Ryan was joined by the Town Supervisor of Camillus John Fatcheric, the Town’s Director of Parks and Recreation Eric Bacon, and Camillus Park Ambassador Joe Flynn.
“The Town of Camillus is grateful for the support of Senator Ryan,” said Supervisor Fatcheric. “His hands on approach and forward thinking shows true commitment to our community. The importance of strong park programs and facilities aid in the overall health of our residents. The funding for an ADA compliant restroom completes a long overdue update to Camillus Park.”
