September 15, 2026
State Senator Christopher J. Ryan (SD-50) today announced that his office will be hosting a Workforce and Labor Fair on October 8, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the New York State Fairgrounds. This event is designed to connect people with information on employment opportunities, education, workforce training programs and more.
“Connecting people with good-paying employment opportunities and the resources they need to build successful careers is essential to strengthening our communities and our local economy,” said Senator Ryan. “Our Workforce and Labor Fair will bring employers, educators, and workforce training organizations together in one place so Central New Yorkers can learn about the opportunities available to them and take the next step toward a rewarding career. I encourage anyone looking for a new job, considering a career change, or interested in additional training and education to join us on October 8.”
The Workforce and Labor Fair will take place at the Art and Home Center in the Martha Eddy Room at the Fairgrounds. Some of the vendors include OCM BOCES Adult Education, Boilermakers Local 5, CNY Works, IBEW Local 43 and 1249, Wegmans, Upstate Medical University, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, and more.
If your organization is interested in being a vendor at the Workforce and Labor Fair, email koss@nysenate.gov.
