Senator Lea Webb Delivers $70,000 of funding to The Rural Health Network of SCNY, Inc.

BINGHAMTON, NY – Today, Senator Webb delivered $70,000 in funding to The Rural Health Network of SCNY, Inc. for the installation of a new roof.

Here at the Rural Health Network, we work hard to ensure all of our residents have access to the high quality care they need and deserve. Making improvements to our building means we can continue to do what we do best, supporting our residents and fighting for a healthier community.”

This $70,000 CREST investment will help ensure their facility remains safe and functional, enabling them to continue serving our community for years to come,” said Senator Lea Webb. “I am proud to secure funding that supports the long-term sustainability of an organization that does so much to improve the health and well-being of our region.”

The Rural Health Network of South Central New York was founded in 1998 and currently provides services to Broome, Chenango, Chemung, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga, and Tompkins counties. Their mission is to advance the health and well-being of rural people and communities. Rural Health Network has a strong history in Upstate NY and has fostered connections with community organizations for over 20 years. They provide essential services and expertise in rural healthcare access, chronic disease management, and local programming to address food insecurity and transportation barriers. 

Senator Webb secured the funding for the installation of their new roof through the New York State Senate’s Community Resiliency, Economic Sustainability, and Technology (CREST) Program. The CREST Program, administered by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), provides reimbursement-based grants of capital costs for projects undertaken by eligible entities.
