Child Advocacy Centers do some of the hardest and most important work in our communities, protecting children who have survived abuse and standing with families through the unimaginable. These cuts landed without warning, leaving the CAC of the Finger Lakes and five others with zero dollars and no way to absorb the blow. That never should have happened. I'm proud of what we accomplished by bringing so many people to the table to get this funding restored, and I'll keep fighting to make sure the centers our children and families depend on are never left exposed like this again.
