Brooklyn, NY — On Saturday, May 1, Senator Roxanne J. Persaud proudly hosted her Annual Pre–Mother’s Day Clothes & More Distribution at her district office in Canarsie, bringing together community members for a day of support, care, and celebration ahead of Mother’s Day.

The event welcomed over 180 residents from across the district, offering a wide range of essential items including clothing, shoes, jewelry, and comforters. Attendees also enjoyed complimentary mini beauty touch-ups, providing an opportunity for self-care and pampering in a warm and welcoming environment.

“As we celebrate Mother’s Day, it is important to recognize and uplift the mothers and caregivers who give so much of themselves every day,” said Senator Persaud. “This annual event is one way we can show appreciation while also ensuring that families in our community have access to resources and support.”

The distribution reflects Senator Persaud’s continued commitment to serving the needs of her constituents through direct services and community-centered initiatives. By partnering with local organizations and volunteers, the event aimed to ease financial burdens while fostering a spirit of unity and generosity.
