Senator Kavanagh's Town Hall for Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, DUMBO, Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Columbia Waterfront & Fulton Ferry Residents

On Monday, December 13, Senator Kavanagh was joined by more than 100 residents from Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, DUMBO, Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Columbia Waterfront, and Fulton Ferry for a virtual town hall. During the evening, constituents asked questions and discussed local and state issues directly with the Senator. Assemblymember JoAnne Simon and Councilmember-elect Lincoln Restler also joined to speak with constituents. Throughout the night, topics from climate crisis mitigation, housing affordability, transportation infrastructure, quality of life, and other local issues were covered. Some of the highlights of the evening included a discussion about the BQE and York Station, Senator Kavanagh's bill to stop new gas-powered buildings from being constructed after 2023, and Mitchell Lama buildings. The Senator plans to host similar events for the residents of each neighborhood in District 26 soon. Stay tuned!
