Laura Caruso

Laura Caruso is Executive Director of Pelham Together. She is a staunch and devoted advocate for the development, health, education, and well-being of children and young adults.
Ms. Caruso has impacted families across the boroughs through every position she has held. She worked for 10 years in a large, Manhattan-based non-profit serving homeless families and children, including as Vice President for Management and Budget. She also taught third grade in the Bronx before joining Pelham PACT in 2016. As an educator, Ms. Caruso became an essential advocate.
Active in the Pelham community, Ms. Caruso is a current Board Member of the Pelham Education Foundation, a member of PTA Council, and a former Site-Based Council Representative for Pelham Middle School. She has a degree in Economics from Colgate University, a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University, and a Master’s in Education from Lehman College.
Ms. Caruso strongly advocates for and develops empowered youth, engaged adults, and energized community partners, harnessing their shared sense of commitment. She has worked arduously to make sure youth are informed about opportunities and have the skills to participate in internships that will elevate their understanding of different fields of work. Ms. Caruso leads through building community coalitions made up of a range of schools, businesses, healthcare professions, civic organizations, and youth service organizations; this collaboration exemplifies the need for everyone to be involved in supporting our youth, and amplifies the importance of connectivity.
Ms. Caruso, her husband, and two children have lived in and grown up in Pelham. Her commitment to Pelham Together stems from a deep belief that connection across groups in the community is the best way to ensure a healthy and vibrant future for youth.
Ms. Caruso demonstrates tremendous dedication to service that is continuously ushering Pelham toward a bright future.
