Senator Serrano made his annual trek up Fifth Avenue during the Puerto Rican Day Parade, which was held on Sunday, June 14. The parade, which attracts more than one million people, celebrate the history and culture of the Puerto Rican people.
“I am never more proud of my Puerto Rican heritage than I am on this day,” said the Senator, who joined his father, Congressman José E. Serrano, on the parade route. “Today we come together as one community, united in our strength, our priniciples and the extraordinary contributions we have made to this city.”
