Senator Foley Helps Bring New Light to State Government

Griffo Again Votes Against Government Extender, Says New Yorkers Expect a Budget, Not more Excuses  

(Albany) -  Senator Joseph A. Griffo (R-IP-C, Rome) today reported that he has again voted against legislation meant to temporarily extend State government expenditures until a Budget is passed.

“I refuse to let the Governor and Legislative Leaders continue to hold New Yorkers hostage for the late State budget crisis they have created,” Griffo said.  “With no new budget in place, they continue to put off making hard decisions to address a Budget deficit that grows larger each day.”

ALBANY, NY – Senator Jose Peralta and The Senate’s Task Force on Government Efficiency unveiled a recent tip submitted to the Task Force whistleblower website regarding suspicious overtime pay at the NYS Department of Transportation (DOT) at a press conference in Albany on Wednesday. Griffo Urges State AG to Probe Land Sale

(Albany) - Senator Joseph A. Griffo (R-IP-C, Rome) today announced that he has written to State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo in support of an investigation into a recent Adirondack land purchase.

Griffo noted that in 2004, The Nature Conservancy bought a 20,000-acre tract of land for $6.3 million and sold the land to the state four years later for $9.8 million.
