Senator Johnson's Sun Safety Program Ends with More Than 60,000 Sunscreen Samples Distributed

 

Senator Craig Johnson, (D-Nassau) announced the successful conclusion of Summer Sun Safety Program.

During the months of June, July and August, the Senator and members of his staff  visited beaches, parks and pools across the 7th Senate District to hand out free samples of sun block and other UV protection, as well as literature on the dangers of prolonged sun exposure, and detecting the early warning signs of skin cancer.  More than 60,000 free samples of sun block and sun-blocking cosmetics were handed out to residents during the program’s duration.

Niagara Falls, NY - New York State Senator Antoine M. Thompson (D-Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties), today announced that he has secured $300,000 in state funding for the new, 17-station renal dialysis facility at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. The announcement was made during a morning news conference at the medical center.
