THIELE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT in relation to authorizing the commissioner of environmental conservation to undertake projects to protect the Montauk Lighthouse from shore erosion THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the commissioner of environmental conservation shall also be authorized to undertake any project to protect the Montauk Lighthouse from shore erosion. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14234-01-4

THIELE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT authorizing the commissioner of environmental conservation to undertake projects to protect national historic landmarks from shore erosion THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.
