BILL NUMBER: S8272 SPONSOR: KENNEDY TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to making tech- nical corrections to such law PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To provide technical clean-up of the lettering and numbering of various provisions of the Vehicle and Traffic Law added by separate chapters of the laws of 2021. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 re-letters paragraph (g) of subdivision 1 of § 235 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, as added by Chapter 421 of the Laws of 2021, as paragraph (h). KENNEDY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to making tech- nical corrections to such law THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (g) of subdivision 1 of section 235 of the vehi- cle and traffic law, as added by chapter 421 of the laws of 2021, is relettered paragraph (h). § 2. Paragraph (f) of subdivision 1 of section 236 of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by chapter 421 of the laws of 2021, is relettered paragraph (g). § 3. Subparagraph (vi) of paragraph (a) of subdivision 5-a of section 401 of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by chapter 421 of the laws of 2021, is renumbered subparagraph (vii). § 4. Paragraph (f) of subdivision 1-a of section 1809 of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by chapter 421 of the laws of 2021, is relet- tered paragraph (g). § 5. Subparagraph (vii) of paragraph (a) of subdivision 1 of section 1809-e of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by chapter 421 of the laws of 2021, is renumbered subparagraph (viii). § 6. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14328-02-2
