Virtual Town Hall: COVID-19 and the Path to Re-Opening New York City

_______________

Dear Neighbors:

Thank you to those who attended our Virtual Town Hall yesterday to discuss the reopening of New York City and the steps that must be taken to ensure that we revitalize our economy while also safeguarding our public health.

For those of you who were unable to attend, I strongly encourage you to watch the video of the event. There was a lot of pertinent information, not only regarding what the city is doing to prepare for re-opening, but also of steps each of us must take to ensure our safety and well being during this process.

I especially want to express my gratitude to our panelists-- Dr. Jane Bedell,  Assistant Commissioner and Medical Director, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; Jackie Bray, Deputy Executive Director, NYC Test and Trace Corps; Wellington Chen,  Executive Director, Chinatown Partnership; and Marcus Book, Assistant Director of Government and Community Relations, MTA New York City Transit -- for sharing their knowledge and expertise.

If you have any additional questions or if we can be of any assistance, please contact my office at 212-298-5565 or kavanagh@nysenate.gov, and we will do our best to help.

Thanks again! Be safe!
