Senator Addabbo Partners with FDNY and Local Civic for Free CPR Training
Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. is partnering with the FDNY and the Woodhaven Residents Block Association to host a free CPR training on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 12 noon during the block association’s monthly meeting at Emanuel United Church of Christ, located
93-12 91st Avenue in Woodhaven. All members of the public are welcome.
The training includes:
- Skills needed to save a life in the event of a cardiac arrest or heart attack
- Compression only CPR (on adults only mannequins) with automated external defibrillation (AED) usage
- This is a non-certification class that combines audio/visual instruction with hands on participation.
"CPR training is not just a skill; it's a vital lifeline,” Addabbo said. “Empowering our communities with this knowledge can turn bystanders into lifesavers, making every second count in emergencies. I would like to thank the FDNY and the Woodhaven Residents Block Association for their support and co-sponsorship, which has allowed me to bring this important program to my district.”
