Safely Dispose of Your Old, Broken or Unused Electronics & Paint at Free Recycling Event Hosted By Senator Addabbo

State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. will host his free fall electronic waste recycling event on Sunday October 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Forest Park Bandshell Parking Lot, where the Lower East Side Ecology Center will be collecting old, broken, or unused electronics. Addabbo’s Office will also be collecting paint, thanks to support from PaintCare.

“Improper recycling of electronics and paint allows hazardous substances to reach landfills, where they seep into soil and waterways, posing serious risks to ecosystems and public health,” Addabbo said. “Choosing to recycle e-waste and paint helps safeguard the environment and support a healthier world for today’s residents and generations to come. I know deciding when and where to dispose of these items can be confusing, which is why I host this event twice a year at a central Forest Park site, offering neighbors a simple, community-based option to properly discard old electronics and paint.”
