AN ACT to amend chapter 268 of the laws of 1989 amending the vehicle and
  traffic law relating to providing for payment of fees and other charg-
  es by credit card, in relation to the effectiveness of such provisions

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Section 2 of chapter 268 of the laws of 1989 amending the
vehicle and traffic law relating to providing for payment  of  fees  and
other  charges  by credit card, as amended by chapter 145 of the laws of
2006, is amended to read as follows:
  S 2. This act shall take effect  immediately  and  the  provisions  of
section 202-a of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by section one of
this act, shall be repealed on July 7, [2010] 2014.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
