AN ACT to amend chapter 292 of the  laws  of  2007  amending  the  state
  finance  law relating to state contracts with not-for-profit organiza-
  tions, in relation to  making  permanent  the  effectiveness  of  such
  provisions

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 8 of chapter 292 of the laws of 2007  amending  the
state finance law relating to state contracts with not-for-profit organ-
izations is amended to read as follows:
  S  8. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed-
ing the date on which it shall have become  a  law  [provided,  however,
that  paragraph  (c)  of  subdivision  1  of  section 179-t of the state
finance law, as added by section two of this act,  and  paragraph  b  of
subdivision  7  of  section  179-v of the state finance law, as added by
section three of this act, shall expire and be deemed  repealed  January
1, 2010].
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
