BILL NUMBER: S5870 TITLE OF BILL : An act in relation to authorizing the village of Matinecock to expend certain trust funds for the restoration of Planting Fields Road PURPOSE : The bill authorizes the Village of Matinecock to expend certain funds from the recreation site and improvement fund for the repair of Planting Fields Road. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Authorizes the Village of Matinecock to expend certain funds from the recreation, site and improvement fund for the repair of Planting Fields Road. The expenditure will only be made following a majority vote of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Matinecock and will not exceed $59,000. JUSTIFICATION : The Village of Matinecock seeks to utilize funds from the recreation, site and improvement fund for the repair and extensive rebuilding of Planting Fields Road. The road is in a state of disrepair and needs to be refurbished so that it can be used to safely access and egress from

MARCELLINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT in relation to authorizing the village of Matinecock to expend certain trust funds for the restoration of Planting Fields Road THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the village of Matinecock, town of Oyster Bay, county of Nassau is hereby authorized to expend trust funds from the recreation site and improvement fund of such village for the repair, renovation and restoration of Planting Fields Road, the primary access road to a state historic park known as Planting Fields Arboretum located in such village. Such expenditure of trust funds shall be made by majority vote of the board of trustees of the village of Matinecock and shall not exceed a total of fifty-nine thou- sand dollars ($59,000). S 2.
