BILL NUMBER: S7246 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend chapter 59 of the laws of 2009 amending the environmental conservation law relating to establishing a recreational marine fishing license and setting the fees for such license, in relation to the effectiveness thereof PURPOSE : To change the effective date of the provisions of Chapter 59 of the Laws of 2009 relating to the establishment of a recreational marine fishing license and fee requirements from October 1, 2009 to July 1, 2010 SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section 8 of part LL of Chapter 59 of the Laws of 2009 amending the environmental conservation law relating to establishing a recreation marine fishing license and setting the fees for such license is amended to change the effective date from October 1, 2009 to July 1, 2010 JUSTIFICATION : Provisions that were adopted in the final 2009-10 State Budget established a recreational marine fishing license in the State of New York beginning October 1, 2009 and imposed fees varying from $10

LAVALLE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend chapter 59 of the laws of 2009 amending the environ- mental conservation law relating to establishing a recreational marine fishing license and setting the fees for such license, in relation to the effectiveness thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 8 of part LL of chapter 59 of the laws of 2009 amending the environmental conservation law relating to establishing a recreation marine fishing license and setting the fees for such license, is amended to read as follows: S 8. This act shall take effect [October 1, 2009] JULY 1, 2010; provided, however, that effective immediately, any regulations necessary for the timely implementation of this act on its effective date are authorized to be promulgated before such date. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall be deemed to have been in full force and effect on and after October 1, 2009.
