Sweeney) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to authorizing the Suffolk county water authority to sell water in bulk at public events at its regular retail rates or other reasonable rates or charg- es THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 5 of section 1078 of the public authorities law, as added by chapter 136 of the laws of 1950, is amended to read as follows: 5. To purchase water in bulk from any person, private corporation or municipality when necessary or convenient for the operation of such water supply and distribution system. TO SELL WATER IN BULK TO ANY NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION, PUBLIC CORPORATION, PRIVATE CORPORATION OR PERSON AT ITS REGULAR RETAIL RATES OR AT SUCH OTHER REASONABLE RATES AND CHARGES AS MAY BE DETERMINED BY THE AUTHORITY. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD16014-02-2
