GUNTHER -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to the junior archery license THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph b of subdivision 4 of section 11-0703 of the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 344 of the laws of 2008, is amended to read as follows: b. A person under the age of fourteen years is ineligible for any license, OTHER THAN A JUNIOR ARCHERY LICENSE, which authorizes the hold- er to hunt big game. A person under the age of sixteen years is ineligi- ble for a small and big game, sportsman or resident super-sportsman, non-resident super-sportsman, non-resident big game, non-resident bowhunting license, or bowhunting stamp. A person is ineligible for a small game, small and big game, junior hunting, big game, junior arch- ery, sportsman and resident super-sportsman, non-resident super-sports- man, or non-resident bowhunting or muzzle-loading license unless such person meets the requirements of subdivision 3 of section 11-0713 of this title. S 2. This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a chapter of the laws of 2011, amending the environmental conservation law relating to reducing the required minimum age for obtaining a junior archery license, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 177-A and A. 2021-A, takes effect.
