LUPARDO -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend chapter 445 of the laws of 2008, authorizing the commis- sioner of transportation to transfer certain lands in the county of Broome, in relation to extending the time period for such transfer THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 445 of the laws of 2008, authorizing the commissioner of transportation to transfer certain lands in the county of Broome, is amended to read as follows: S 3. The commissioner of transportation shall not transfer or convey the aforesaid land pursuant to this act unless application is made and the closing occurs within [two] FIVE years after the effective date of this act. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD11812-01-1
