AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
  relation to terminal leave

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is  amended
by adding a new section 14-154 to read as follows:
  S  14-154 TERMINAL LEAVE. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF ANY GENER-
AL, SPECIAL OR LOCAL LAW, CODE, RESOLUTION OR CHARTER TO  THE  CONTRARY,
MEMBERS  OF  THE NEW YORK CITY POLICE FORCE SHALL BE AFFORDED THE OPTION
OF TAKING A MONETARY PAYMENT IN LIEU  OF  TERMINAL  LEAVE  AT  THE  RATE
APPLICABLE ON THE DATE OF RETIREMENT.
  S  2.  The  administrative  code of the city of New York is amended by
adding a new section 15-129 to read as follows:
  S 15-129 TERMINAL LEAVE. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF ANY  GENER-
AL,  SPECIAL  OR LOCAL LAW, CODE, RESOLUTION OR CHARTER TO THE CONTRARY,
MEMBERS OF THE NEW YORK CITY  FIRE  DEPARTMENT  SHALL  BE  AFFORDED  THE
OPTION  OF  TAKING  A  MONETARY PAYMENT IN LIEU OF TERMINAL LEAVE AT THE
RATE APPLICABLE ON THE DATE OF RETIREMENT.
  S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
