O'DONNELL -- (at request of the State Commission of Correction) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Correction AN ACT to amend the correction law, in relation to authorizing commis- sion attorneys to issue substitute jail designations THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 504 of the correction law is amended by adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows: 5. AS PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION, ANY DESIGNATION OF THE STATE COMMIS- SION OF CORRECTION, OR ANY AMENDMENT, MODIFICATION OR REVOCATION THERE- TO, MAY BE ISSUED BY THE COMMISSION, ANY MEMBER, OR ANY ATTORNEY EMPLOYED BY THE COMMISSION. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD08988-01-3
