BILL NUMBER:S953 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the county law, in relation to sewer district extensions in the New York city watershed PURPOSE: This bill would provide for certain sewer district extensions to preserve water quality in the New York City watershed. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section one of the bill provides for sewer district extensions for a limited number of properties that are under a judicial order for clean up for causing damage to the New York City watershed water quality, including all properties within the town of Yorktown contained within a perimeter commencing at the intersection of Lake Road and Crow Hill Road, proceeding northeasterly along Lake Road to its intersection with the New Castle-Yorktown border, then proceeding southerly along the New Castle-Yorktown border to the intersection of Crow Hill Road, then northwesterly along Crow Hill Road to its intersection with Lake Hill Road, the point of beginning; and all properties within the town of New Castle contained within the perimeter commencing at the intersection of Lake Hill Road and the New Castle-Yorktown border, proceeding easterly along Lake Hill Road to the New Castle-Bedford

PARKER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to amend the county law, in relation to sewer district extensions in the New York city watershed THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The county law is amended by adding a new section 851 to read as follows: S 851. SEWER DISTRICT EXTENSIONS IN THE NEW YORK CITY WATERSHED. WHERE ANY COUNTY WHICH HAS RECEIVED FUNDING FROM THE CITY OF NEW YORK FOR THE PURPOSES OF PRESERVING THE QUALITY OF THE WATERS OF THE NEW YORK CITY WATERSHED, IN WHICH THERE ARE ANY PROPERTIES WITHIN SUCH COUNTY, SPECIFICALLY INCLUDING ALL THAT PROPERTY OR PROPERTIES WITHIN THE COUNTY OF WESTCHESTER AS FOLLOWS: ALL PROPERTIES WITHIN THE TOWN OF YORKTOWN CONTAINED WITHIN A PERIMETER COMMENCING AT THE INTERSECTION OF LAKE ROAD AND CROW HILL ROAD, PROCEEDING NORTHEASTERLY ALONG LAKE ROAD TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE NEW CASTLE-YORKTOWN BORDER, THEN PROCEEDING SOUTH- ERLY ALONG THE NEW CASTLE-YORKTOWN BORDER TO THE INTERSECTION OF CROW HILL ROAD, THEN NORTHWESTERLY ALONG CROW HILL ROAD TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH LAKE HILL ROAD, THE POINT OF BEGINNING; AND ALL PROPERTIES WITHIN THE TOWN OF NEW CASTLE CONTAINED WITHIN THE PERIMETER COMMENCING AT THE INTERSECTION OF LAKE HILL ROAD AND THE NEW CASTLE-YORKTOWN BORDER, PROCEEDING EASTERLY ALONG LAKE HILL ROAD TO THE NEW CASTLE-BEDFORD BORDER, THEN PROCEEDING SOUTHERLY ALONG THE NEW CASTLE-BEDFORD BORDER TO THE NEW CASTLE-MT.
