BILL NUMBER: S7564 TITLE OF BILL : An act to authorize the county of Clinton to reinstate and employ Aaron Heroux as a deputy sheriff PURPOSE : Authorizes the county of Clinton to reinstate Aaron Heroux as a deputy sheriff, notwithstanding that such reinstatement will occur more than 1 year after leaving such position. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section 1. Authorizes the county of Clinton to reinstate Aaron Heroux as a deputy sheriff with the sheriff's department of such county, notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (b) of subdivision 4 of section 58 of the civil service law or any other provision of the law to the contrary, provided he provide a written request to that effect with the sheriff of the county of Clinton within one year of the effective date of this act. LITTLE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Civil Service and Pensions AN ACT to authorize the county of Clinton to reinstate and employ Aaron Heroux as a deputy sheriff THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (b) of subdivi- sion 4 of section 58 of the civil service law or any other provision of law to the contrary, the county of Clinton is hereby authorized to rein- state Aaron Heroux, who held a permanent appointment as a deputy sheriff in such county until February 6, 2013, as a deputy sheriff with the sheriff's department of such county, provided that he files a written request to that effect with the sheriff of the county of Clinton within one year of the effective date of this act and complies with the provisions of paragraph (c) of subdivision 1 of section 58 of the civil service law.
