BILL NUMBER: S7602 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend the general municipal law, in relation to authorizing the lease of space on sports field fences in the city of Rye, Westchester county PURPOSE : To authorize the City of Rye to allow the lease of space on the fences at Disbrow Park, Gagliardo Park and Recreation Park to a not for profit corporation or organization, with the revenue used for the sole purpose of the care of said parks. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section 1: Allow the City of Rye to lease any and all sports field fences at Disbrow Park, Gagliardo or Recreation Park annually, at a nominal rent, to a not-for- profit corporation or organization, organized under the laws of the State of New York for the purpose of permitting the sale of advertising, with the revenues to be used solely for the care of said parks in the City of Rye, Westchester county. Section 2: This act shall take effect immediately. JUSTIFICATION :

LATIMER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to authorizing the lease of space on sports field fences in the city of Rye, West- chester county THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The general municipal law is amended by adding a new section 77-g to read as follows: S 77-G. SPORTS FIELD FENCE LEASES IN THE CITY OF RYE, WESTCHESTER COUNTY. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY PROVISION OF ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL OR LOCAL LAW OR OF ANY CHARTER TO THE CONTRARY, THE CITY OF RYE, WESTCHESTER COUNTY, MAY LEASE ANY AND ALL SPORTS FIELD FENCES AT DISBROW PARK, GAGLIARDO OR RECREATION PARK ANNUALLY, AT A NOMINAL RENT, TO A NOT-FOR- PROFIT CORPORATION OR ORGANIZATION, ORGANIZED UNDER THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERMITTING THE SALE OF ADVERTISING, WITH THE REVENUES TO BE USED SOLELY FOR THE CARE OF SAID PARKS IN THE CITY OF RYE, WESTCHESTER COUNTY.
