BILL NUMBER: S7490 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend chapter 267 of the laws of 1988, amending the parks, recreation and historic preservation law relating to the lease of state property included in the Glimmerglass state park, in relation to extending the expiration and repeal of the provisions thereof PURPOSE : To extend chapter 267 of the laws of 1988 for an additional thirty (30) years beyond its current expiration date of January 1, 2017 SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section one outlines the purpose of amending, and does amend, section 2 of chapter 267 of the laws of 1988. Section two provides for a revised expiration date of January 1, 2047. Section three provides the new effective date of the bill. EXISTING LAW : Chapter 267 of the laws of 1988 expire on January 1, 2017. JUSTIFICATION :

SEWARD -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks and Recreation AN ACT to amend chapter 267 of the laws of 1988, amending the parks, recreation and historic preservation law relating to the lease of state property included in the Glimmerglass state park, in relation to extending the expiration and repeal of the provisions thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 267 of the laws of 1988, amending the parks, recreation and historic preservation law relating to the lease of state property included in the Glimmerglass state park, is amended to read as follows: S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall have been deemed to be in full force and effect on January first, nineteen hundred eight- y-eight. This act shall expire on January first, two thousand [seven- teen] FORTY-SEVEN, and shall be deemed repealed. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD15254-01-6
