BILL NUMBER: S7603 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend chapter 325 of the laws of 2015, authorizing the commissioner of general services to transfer and convey certain unappropriated state land to the county of Greene, in relation to using the land for a 911 emergency call center; and other necessary law enforcement and municipal facilities PURPOSE : This bill relates to the transfer and conveyance of certain unappropriated state land to the county of Greene, in relation to using the land for a 911 emergency call center. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section one of this bill amends Subdivision (a) of Section 5 of Chapter 325 of the Laws of 2015, to allow for the already conveyed property to be used for purposes of operating and maintaining a county correctional facility, to also be used for a 911 emergency call center and other necessary law enforcement and municipal facilities. Section two of this bill provides for an immediate effective date. JUSTIFICATION :

AMEDORE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to amend chapter 325 of the laws of 2015, authorizing the commis- sioner of general services to transfer and convey certain unappropri- ated state land to the county of Greene, in relation to using the land for a 911 emergency call center; and other necessary law enforcement and municipal facilities THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 5 of chapter 325 of the laws of 2015, authorizing the commissioner of general services to transfer and convey certain unappropriated state land to the county of Greene, is amended to read as follows: (a) The land described in this act shall be used exclusively for the purposes of operating and maintaining a county correctional facility; A 911 EMERGENCY CALL CENTER; AND OTHER NECESSARY LAW ENFORCEMENT AND MUNICIPAL FACILITIES. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14946-01-6
