BILL NUMBER: S6920 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend the executive law, in relation to designating Charles lake, Lost lake, Putnam lake and Tonetta lake as inland waterways for purposes of waterfront revitalization PURPOSE : Designates Charles Lake, Lost Lake in Putnam County, Putnam Lake and Tonetta Lake as inland waterways for purposes of waterfront revitalization. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section one amends paragraph (a) of subdivision 4 of section 911 of the executive law, regarding the definition of "inland waterways," by adding the following lakes: Charles, Lost (in the county of Putnam), Putnam and Tonetta. Section two establishes the effective date. JUSTIFICATION : Bedrock aquifers underlie all of Putnam County, and face threats from municipal stormwater, sewer and septic systems, especially where these bedrock formations occupy common drainage areas that emerge in

MURPHY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Finance AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to designating Charles lake, Lost lake, Putnam lake and Tonetta lake as inland waterways for purposes of waterfront revitalization THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subdivision 4 of section 911 of the execu- tive law, as separately amended by chapters 92 and 97 of the laws of 2015, is amended to read as follows: (a) the state's major inland lakes consisting of lakes Ballston, Big Tupper, Black, Campfire, Canadarago, Canandaigua, Cayuga, Champlain, CHARLES, Chateaugay, Chautauqua, Conesus, Cranberry, Echo (in the county of Westchester), George, Great Sacandaga, Honeoye, Indian, Keuka, Long, LOST (IN THE COUNTY OF PUTNAM), Mirror, Oneida, Onondaga, Otisco, Otse- go, Owasco, Peach, Placid, PUTNAM, Raquette, Ronkonkoma, Sacandaga, Saratoga, Schroon, Seneca, Skaneateles, Silver (in the county of Wyom- ing) [and], Saranac AND TONETTA, and the Fulton chain of lakes; S 2.
