 AN ACT to amend a chapter of the laws  of  2016,  amending  the  general
   municipal  law,  the public authorities law, and the tax law, relating
   to certain recording taxes, in relation to the effectiveness thereof

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section  6 of a chapter of the laws of 2016, amending the
 general municipal law, the public authorities  law,  and  the  tax  law,
 relating  to  certain  recording taxes, as proposed in legislative bills
 numbers A. 9490 and S. 7442 is amended to read as follows:
   § 6. This act shall take effect [immediately] JULY 1, 2017.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and  shall  be  deemed  to
 have been in full force and effect on and after a chapter of the laws of
 2016,  amending  the  general municipal law, the public authorities law,
 and the tax law, relating to certain recording  taxes,  as  proposed  in
 legislative bills numbers A. 9490 and S. 7442, takes effect.
