AN ACT  to  amend  the  public  health  law,  in  relation  to  maternal
  depression  treatment;  and  to  amend  a chapter of the laws of 2017,
  amending the public health law, relating to maternal depression treat-
  ment, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 4000 and A. 8308, in
  relation to the effectiveness thereof

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Subdivision 3 of section 2500-k of the public health law,
as added by a chapter of the laws of 2017, amending  the  public  health
law  relating  to maternal depression treatment, as proposed in legisla-
tive bills numbers S. 4000 and A. 8308, is amended to read as follows:
  3. Maternal depression treatment. The commissioner, in [collaboration]
CONSULTATION with the commissioner of mental health, shall:
  (a) [compile a list of providers who  treat  or  provide  support  for
maternal   depression   including  mental  health  professionals,  other
licensed professionals, peer support,  not-for-profit  corporations  and
other  community  resources.  Such  list  shall be made available to the
public on the department's website  and  be  searchable  by  zip  code;]
INFORM   PROVIDERS  OF  THE  NEED  TO  RAISE  AWARENESS  ABOUT  MATERNAL
DEPRESSION; AND
  (b) [update the list of providers as necessary; and
  (c) within existing  appropriations,  ensure  adequate  investment  in
treatment  resources  for  maternal  depression  including  a  statewide
hotline, peer support, adequate  referral  networks  and  telehealth  or
telemedicine  services]  PROVIDE  INFORMATION  ON  THE  DEPARTMENT'S AND
OFFICE OF MENTAL HEALTH'S WEBSITES REGARDING  HOW  TO  LOCATE  AVAILABLE
PROVIDERS  WHO  TREAT OR PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR MATERNAL DEPRESSION INCLUD-
ING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MENTAL  HEALTH  PROFESSIONALS,  OTHER  LICENSED
PROFESSIONALS,  PEER  SUPPORT,  NOT-FOR-PROFIT  CORPORATIONS  AND  OTHER
COMMUNITY RESOURCES.
  § 2. Section 2 of a chapter of the laws of 2017, amending  the  public
health  law,  relating  to maternal depression treatment, as proposed in
