PAULIN, BUCHWALD -- read once and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means AN ACT to amend the tax law, in relation to authorizing the city of White Plains to impose an occupancy tax THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 10 of section 1202-aa of the tax law, as amended by chapter 18 of the laws of 2015, is amended to read as follows: (10) Each enactment of such a local law may provide for the imposition of a hotel tax for a period to expire on December thirty-first, two thousand [eighteen] TWENTY-ONE. Nothing in this section shall prohibit the adoption and enactment of local laws, pursuant to the provisions of this section, upon the expiration of any other local law adopted pursu- ant to this section. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14246-01-8
