S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 9915 I N A S S E M B L Y February 22, 2018 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. GLICK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Higher Education AN ACT to amend chapter 537 of the laws of 2008, amending the education law relating to a restricted dental faculty license, in relation to extending the expiration of such chapter THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 537 of the laws of 2008, amending the education law relating to a restricted dental faculty license, as amended by chapter 410 of the laws of 2016, is amended to read as follows: § 2. This act shall take effect February 1, 2009 and shall expire February 1, [2019] 2021 when upon such date the provisions of this act shall be deemed repealed; provided that the commissioner of education is authorized to promulgate rules and regulations necessary to implement the provisions of this act prior to such effective date; and provided further that any restricted dental faculty license awarded prior to February 1, [2019] 2021 shall remain valid and effective until the expi- ration thereof. § 2.
