 Introduced  by  Sen.  DeFRANCISCO -- read twice and ordered printed, and
   when printed to be committed to the Committee on Finance
 
 AN ACT to expand the Great Lakes flooding recovery  program  to  include
   damage caused by flooding of Seneca lake, the Seneca river, the Oswego
   river, the Oneida river and/or Cross lake; and making an appropriation
   therefor

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The Great Lakes flooding recovery program is hereby amended
 to include not only damage as a result of flooding caused by the  raised
 level of Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Lake Champlain and/or the St. Lawrence
 river, that occurred between January 1, 2017 and June 30, 2017, but also
 damage  as  a  result  of  flooding caused by the raised level of Seneca
 lake, the Seneca river, the Oswego river, the Oneida river and/or  Cross
 lake, that occurred between January 1, 2017 and June 30, 2017.
   §  2.  The sum of fifty-five million dollars ($55,000,000), or so much
 thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the empire  state
 development  corporation, out of any moneys in the state treasury in the
 general fund, to the credit of an  account  established  by  the  empire
 state  development corporation for the administration of the Great Lakes
 flooding recovery program, with such monies so appropriated  made  imme-
 diately  available,  for  the  purpose  of carrying out the purposes and
 provisions of the Great Lakes flooding recovery program.
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately
