 AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation  to  salaries  for  voca-
   tional education and extension work
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 1104  of  the  education  law,  as
 amended  by  chapter  53  of  the  laws  of  1990, is amended to read as
 follows:
   1. The commissioner [of education]  in  the  annual  apportionment  of
 public  moneys  shall  apportion  therefrom  to  each county maintaining
 approved vocational education and extension work, a quota  amounting  to
 [one-half    of]  the salary paid each teacher, director, assistant, and
 supervisor, but not to exceed [ten thousand five hundred] THIRTEEN THOU-
 SAND EIGHT HUNDRED dollars on account of the employment of such teacher,
 director,  assistant or supervisor.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
