BILL NUMBER: S7787 SPONSOR: RULES TITLE OF BILL: An act making an appropriation to pay Debra Gordon, widow of the late William R. Nojay, member of the assembly from the 133rd assembly district, the balance due of his unpaid annual compensation for a portion of the year 2016 PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To authorize payment of unpaid annual compensation to Debra Gordon, widow of William R. Nojay, member of the Assembly from the 133th assem- bly district. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section one authorizes the sum of twenty-seven thousand two hundred thirty dollars and eighty-eight cents ($27,230.88) to be appropriated out of general fund for payment to Debra Gordon, the widow of the late

Nojay, member of the assembly from the 133rd assembly district, the balance due of his unpaid annual compensation for a portion of the year 2016 THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The sum of twenty-seven thousand two hundred thirty dollars and eighty-eight cents ($27,230.88) is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the general fund of the state treasury to the credit of the state purposes account not otherwise appropriated, for payment to Debra Gordon, the widow of the late William R. Nojay, who died on the ninth day of September, 2016, for the balance due of the unpaid annual compensation which would have been earned by him had he continued to live and serve as such member of the assembly from the 133rd assembly district until the 31st day of December, 2016. The amount hereby appro- priated shall be payable to Debra Gordon on the audit and warrant of the comptroller on a voucher certified or approved in the manner prescribed by law. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14882-01-8
