BILL NUMBER: S7906 SPONSOR: MURPHY TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 118 of the laws of 2012 amending the alcoholic beverage control law relating to the powers of the chairman and members of the authority, in relation to the effectiveness of certain provisions thereof PURPOSE: This bill would extend, for three years, amendments made in 2012 that delegated to the Chairman of the State Liquor Authority exclusive execu- tive authority over the State Liquor Authority and the Division of Alco- holic Beverage Control. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 of the bill would amend Chapter 118 of the Laws of 2012 by extending the expiration date of the same for three years from July 18,

MURPHY -- (at request of the State Liquor Authority) -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Government Operations AN ACT to amend chapter 118 of the laws of 2012 amending the alcoholic beverage control law relating to the powers of the chairman and members of the authority, in relation to the effectiveness of certain provisions thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 4 of chapter 118 of the laws of 2012 amending the alcoholic beverage control law relating to the powers of the chairman and members of the authority, as amended by chapter 78 of the laws of 2015, is amended to read as follows: § 4. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be deemed repealed [six] NINE years after such date. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14381-01-8
