 AN ACT authorizing the county of Nassau to alienate certain  lands  used
   as   parklands  to  enable  the  Port  Washington  Water  District  to
   construct, maintain and operate a water treatment facility

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  The  county of Nassau is hereby authorized, acting by and
 through its legislature, and upon such terms and  conditions  as  deter-
 mined  by  such  legislature,  to  discontinue  as  parklands  the lands
 described in section three of this act for the purpose of  enabling  the
 Port  Washington  Water  District  to  construct, maintain and operate a
 water treatment facility and appurtenances thereto.
   § 2. The authorization contained in section one of this act  shall  be
 effective  only upon the condition that the county of Nassau dedicate an
 amount equal to or greater than the fair market value of  the  parklands
 being discontinued for funding of capital improvements, to existing park
 and recreational facilities.
   §  3.  The  lands  to  be  discontinued as parklands and alienated are
 described as follows:
   All that certain plot, piece or parcel of  land,  situate,  lying  and
 being  at  North  Hills,  Town  of North Hempstead, County of Nassau and
 State of New York, said  parcel  being  more  particularly  bounded  and
 described as follows:
   BEGINNING  at  a  point on the easterly line of Searingtown Road, said
 point being distant northerly the following three (3) courses  as  meas-
 ured  along said easterly line from its intersection with the old north-
 erly line of the Westbound Service Road - Long Island Expressway;
   1. North 11 degrees 02 minutes 30 seconds West, a distance  of  246.30
 feet to a point of curvature;
   2.  Along  the  arc  of a circular curve bearing to the right having a
 radius of 1660.00 feet and a length of 365.54 feet to point of tangency;
   3. North 01 degrees 34 minutes 30 seconds East, a distance  of  310.00
 feet;

 AN ACT authorizing the county of Nassau to alienate certain  lands  used
   as   parklands  to  enable  the  Port  Washington  Water  District  to
   construct, maintain and operate a water treatment facility
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subject to the provisions of this act, the county of Nassau
 is  hereby  authorized,  acting by and through its legislature, and upon
 such terms and conditions as determined by such legislature, to  discon-
 tinue  as  parklands  and convey the lands described in section three of
 this act to the Port  Washington  Water  District  for  the  purpose  of
 constructing,  maintaining  and operating a water treatment facility and
 appurtenances thereto.
   § 2. The authorization in section one of this act shall  be  effective
 only  upon  the  condition  that the county of Nassau dedicate an amount
 equal to or greater than the fair market value of  the  parklands  being
 discontinued  towards  the  acquisition  of new parklands and/or capital
 improvements to existing park and recreational facilities.
   § 3. The parklands authorized by section one of this act to be discon-
 tinued as parklands and alienated are described as follows:
   All that certain plot, piece or parcel of  land,  situate,  lying  and
 being  at  North  Hills,  Town  of North Hempstead, County of Nassau and
 State of New York, said  parcel  being  more  particularly  bounded  and
 described as follows:
