AN ACT to amend chapter 2 of the  laws  of  1998,  amending  the  public
  health  law  and  other  laws  relating  to expanding the child health
  insurance plan, in relation to the effectiveness thereof

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivisions 3 and 5 of section 47 of chapter 2 of the laws
of  1998, amending the public health law and other laws to expanding the
child health insurance plan, as amended by section 10 of part I of chap-
ter 57 of the laws of 2017, are amended to read as follows:
  3. section six  of  this  act  shall  take  effect  January  1,  1999;
provided,  however, that subparagraph (iii) of paragraph (c) of subdivi-
sion 9 of section 2510 of the public health law, as added by  this  act,
shall expire on July 1, [2019] 2021;
  5.  section  twelve  of  this  act  shall take effect January 1, 1999;
provided, however, paragraphs (g) and (h) of subdivision  2  of  section
2511 of the public health law, as added by such section, shall expire on
July 1, [2019] 2021;
  § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
