BILL NUMBER: S6416 SPONSOR: SEPULVEDA TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the alcoholic beverage control law, in relation to filing of notification to municipalities PURPOSE: This bill would provide that notifications that are required to be filed with a municipality be filed no earlier than 270 days prior to the filing of the application with the Authority. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 of the bill would amend ABCL § 110-b(1) to provide that notifications that are required to be filed with a municipality be filed no earlier than 270 days prior to the filing of the application with the Authority. Section 2 of the bill would make it take effect immediately and apply to any notification filed after it shall be signed into law.

SEPULVEDA -- (at request of the State Liquor Authori- ty) -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be commit- ted to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend the alcoholic beverage control law, in relation to filing of notification to municipalities THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The opening paragraph of subdivision 1 of section 110-b of the alcoholic beverage control law, as amended by chapter 560 of the laws of 2011, is amended to read as follows: Not less than thirty NOR MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY days before filing any of the following applications, an applicant shall notify the municipality in which the premises is located of such applicant's intent to file such an application: § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply to any notification filed after it shall have become a law.
