BILL NUMBER: S7037 SPONSOR: GAUGHRAN TITLE OF BILL: An act in relation to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming a transportation contract of the Cold Spring Harbor central school district PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: This bill would correct a clerical error between the Cold Spring Harbor Central School District and the State Education Department in the 201314 school year. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1: Legalizes, validates, ratifies, and confirms a transportation contract, E259217, in connection with a transportation contract of the 201314 school year.

GAUGHRAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Education AN ACT in relation to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming a transportation contract of the Cold Spring Harbor central school district THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken or caused to be had and taken by the Cold Spring Harbor central school district and by all officers, employees or agents of such school district relating to or in connection with a transportation contract E259217 of the 2013-2014 school year, and all acts incidental thereto are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and confirmed, notwithstanding any failure to comply with the contract award, approval, and filing provisions of the education law, the general municipal law or any other law or any other statutory authority, rule or regulation, other than those filing provisions defined in paragraph a of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the education law, in relation to any omission, error, defect, irregularity or illegality in such proceeding had and taken. § 2. The department of education is hereby directed to consider the aforementioned contract for transportation aid as valid and proper obli- gations of the Cold Spring Harbor central school district. § 3.
