S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 6590 2019-2020 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y March 12, 2019 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. HAWLEY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means AN ACT to amend the tax law, in relation to the allocation and distrib- ution of taxes owed in Genesee county THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The tax law is amended by adding a new section 1262-u to read as follows: § 1262-U. ALLOCATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF CERTAIN NET COLLECTIONS IN GENESEE COUNTY. IF THE COUNTY OF GENESEE ENTERS INTO AN AGREEMENT PURSU- ANT TO THE AUTHORITY OF SUBDIVISION (C) OF SECTION TWELVE HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO OF THIS PART WITH THE CITY OF BATAVIA TO ALLOCATE AND DISTRIB- UTE A PORTION OF NET COLLECTIONS DUE THE COUNTY FROM ITS TAXES IMPOSED PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY OF SUBDIVISION (A) OF SECTION TWELVE HUNDRED TEN OF THIS ARTICLE, THE AGREEMENT MAY BE FOR A TERM NOT EXCEEDING FORTY YEARS AND THE STATE COMPTROLLER SHALL NOT DISAPPROVE SUCH AGREEMENT BASED ON THE LENGTH OF ITS TERM, PROVIDED THAT SUCH TERM SHALL NOT EXCEED FORTY YEARS. § 2.
