Authorizes the commissioner of the office of general services to convey certain unappropriated state land to KIPP: Albany Community Public Charter Schools for the purposes of improving traffic flow at an appurtenant public school facility for the benefit of the school and the neighborhood and to provide adequate public parking and trail access in support of the adjacent Tivoli Lake Preserve owned by the city of Albany.

   read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations
 
 AN  ACT  to authorize the commissioner of the office of general services
   to convey certain unappropriated state land to KIPP: Albany  Community
   Public   Charter  Schools;  and  providing  for  the  repeal  of  such
   provisions upon expiration thereof

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Subject to the provisions of this act but notwithstanding
 any other provision of law to the contrary, the commissioner of  general
 services  is  hereby  authorized  to transfer and convey to KIPP: Albany
 Community Public Charter Schools, in consideration  of  one  dollar  and
 upon  such  other  conditions  as  the commissioner may deem proper, the
 state land located at 596 Manning Boulevard, Albany, New  York,  in  the
 county of Albany.
   § 2. The lands authorized by section one of this act to be transferred
 and conveyed are as follows:
   ALL that piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the City
 of Albany, County of Albany, State of New York, more particularly bound-
 ed and described as follows:
   BEGINNING  at  a  point  in  the north line of Manning Boulevard North
 (a/k/a Manning Boulevard); said  point  being  400  feet  distant  in  a
 westerly  direction  from  the intersection of the north line of Manning
 Boulevard North (a/k/a Manning Boulevard) and the west line of  Northern
 Boulevard; thence northerly at right angles to the north line of Manning
 Boulevard  North  (a/k/a  Manning  Boulevard) a distance of 199.31 feet;
 thence westerly, parallel with the north line of Manning Boulevard North
 (a/k/a Manning Boulevard) and along the north line of the lands conveyed
 to Louis J. Valente by New York Central Railroad by deed recorded in the
 office of the Clerk of Albany County in Book 1688 of Deeds at Page 25  a
 distance  of  217.95  feet; thence southerly making an interior angle of
 58° 04' with the last described course and along the west line  of  said
 lands  a  distance of 234.89 feet to the north line of Manning Boulevard
 
  EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                       [ ] is old law to be omitted.
