BILL NUMBER: S6480 SPONSOR: PARKER TITLE OF BILL: An act directing the public service commission and the Long Island power authority to extend elements of the compensation under the "Value Stack" to behind-the-meter resources PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: The purpose of this bill is to require the extension of the value of distributed energy resources Value Stack to behind-the-meter resources and microgrids as originally intended. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1: Directs the public service commission to issue an order, within one hundred and twenty days, expanding the application of the value of distributed energy resources' Value Stack to behind-the-meter resources.

PARKER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Energy and Telecommuni- cations AN ACT directing the public service commission and the Long Island power authority to extend elements of the compensation under the "Value Stack" to behind-the-meter resources THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Within one hundred twenty days of the effective date of this act the public service commission shall, after a hearing held on notice, extend appropriate elements of the compensation under the "Value Stack", as adopted by the commission in case 15-E-0751, to resources located behind customer electric meters. § 2. Within one hundred eighty days of the effective date of this act, the Long Island power authority shall extend appropriate elements of the compensation under the "Value Stack", as adopted in the authority's Value of Distributed Energy Resources tariff, to resources located behind customer electric meters. § 3.
