BILL NUMBER: S8403 SPONSOR: BROUK TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 289 of the laws of 2021 amending the public health law relating to the provision of certain professional services to children's camps and camps for children with developmental disabilities, in relation to the effectiveness thereof PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To change the effective date of Chapter 289 of 2021, from one year after the bill shall become a law to June 1, 2022. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section one of the bill amends section 4 of chapter 289 of the laws of 2021 amending the public health law relating to the provision of services to children's camps and camps for children with disabilities, to make the effective date immediate.

BROUK -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend chapter 289 of the laws of 2021 amending the public health law relating to the provision of certain professional services to children's camps and camps for children with developmental disabil- ities, in relation to the effectiveness thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 4 of chapter 289 of the laws of 2021 amending the public health law relating to the provision of certain professional services to children's camps and camps for children with developmental disabilities, is amended to read as follows: § 4. This act shall take effect [one year after it shall have become a law] JUNE 1, 2022. Effective immediately the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implementation of this act on its effective date are authorized to be made on or before such date. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14685-01-2
