FAHY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Real Property Taxation AN ACT relating to the extension of the taxable status day in certain assessing units; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon the expiration thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The governing body of an assessing unit with a population greater than ninety-seven thousand and less than one hundred thousand, based upon and recorded by the two thousand twenty federal census, is authorized to enact a local law or resolution, authorizing the assessor of such assessing unit to extend the taxable status date applicable to such assessing unit by no more than sixty days. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be deemed repealed sixty days after such effective date. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD09809-01-3
