 Introduced  by  M.  of  A.  WILLIAMS -- (at request of the Department of
   Environmental Conservation) -- read once and referred to the Committee
   on Environmental Conservation
 
 AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
   extending  the  authority of the department of environmental conserva-
   tion to manage blueback herring

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Paragraph  g of subdivision 1 of section 13-0339-a of the
 environmental conservation law, as amended by section 1  of  item  I  of
 subpart  A  of part XXX of chapter 58 of the laws of 2020, is amended to
 read as follows:
   g. blueback herring (Alosa aestivalis)  until  December  thirty-first,
 two thousand [twenty-three] TWENTY-SIX,
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
